Welcome to Miss Sinclair’s Homepage. Health is a semester long graduation requirement. You MUST pass this class if you are to walk across the graduation stage in your graduation year. Health Class is designed to prepare students to live long productive lives in the twenty-first century. Chronic diseases / conditions such as Diabetes, Obesity, Drug Addictions, Depression, and lack of Health access, insurance and Health literacy are all Health dangers facing young people in the years ahead.
Students will learn the aspects and benefits of Physical Exercise, Diet and Weight Management, Disease prevention, Mental Health and Substance Abuse Prevention, as well as Sexual Health and Personal Safety. Students who do well in the class and incorporate a healthy life choices intro their lives may NOT get an STD, AIDS, NOT get pregnant or get someone pregnant, NOT drive drunk or ride with someone who has, NOT have a stroke or a heart attack at 50, and look good and feel good about themselves. Pay attention in class, as Health class is the most important class you will take in high school; as it might just save your life!
Miss Sinclair has been teaching at Glendale High for 13 years and was in the United States Army and retired as a Major. She just received a Master’s in Public Health from UCLA School of Public Health and a short copy of the Curriculum Vitae (click to download) is attached as the National Institute of Health biographical Sketch.
